The changing nature of the superyacht marketplace

The Superyacht sector in Australia is growing and certainly The Yard Brisbane is benefiting along with their neighbouring boatyards and shipyards in the South East Queensland marketplace. Increasingly captains and owners are using the services of MCA Projects, The Yards’ on-site project management service, for coordinating refits. The buying power, coordinated billing and trusted relationships with tenants and preferred suppliers are important elements of the refit coordination service.

Facility Upgrades

The Yard Brisbane has constructed a new front gate access system. This new front gate serves to facilitate a new ‘Outside Contractors’ policy. Both have been designed to assist in driving up standards at the shipyard. The focus is on better quality, health, safety and environmental outcomes in the facility.

The Yard’s 65T Precinct has now been relocated and all vessels and marine tenants are now operating within one shipyard, allowing clients to access all capabilities the facility has to offer within one well-resourced precinct.
