New England Superyacht Cruising...Maine

Mount Desert Island

Carved by glaciers thousands of years ago, Maine’s rugged coastline stretches for over 3,500 miles, boasting an enchanting mix of inlets, coves and more than 4,000 islands. An incredible place for owners or guests that enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding and fishing, its secluded anchorages and pristine waters offer an unparalleled cruising experience—where it’s not uncommon to be the only yacht in the bay.

A longstanding yachting destination, Maine has a rich legacy of boatbuilding, home to world-renowned shipyards celebrated for their craftsmanship and tradition. Maine has seen a recent influx of Superyachts flocking to Portland’s vibrant arts and culinary scene and all along the coast up to Southwest Harbor for its dramatic vistas and breathtaking backdrop.

Head up to Maine for July and August when the summer weather truly rolls in...for the art and music festivals, world-class regattas like the Camden Classics Cup, and an iconic lobster roll. The Camden Classics Cup is one the world’s most beautiful regattas - a celebration of both classic yacht racing and boatbuilding, sailed where the mountains meet the sea in the lovely harbor town of Camden, Maine, in July each year.

From the recommendations we have received, here are a few must-visit marinas dotted along the coast.
