Lucy began her career in the yachting industry as a chef and mate aboard luxury charter vessels, spending over a decade navigating the beautiful waters of the Caribbean and the East Coast of the United States.
South African by birth, Lucy’s passion for life at sea started with a boat delivery from Cape Town to Australia—and she was instantly hooked. A true thalassophile, Lucy’s connection to the ocean runs deep, extending below the surface through her love of scuba diving, freediving and snorkelling.

Now calling Sint Maarten home, Lucy remains actively involved in the marine industry. She has a deep understanding of the diverse services and resources available across the Caribbean, particularly Saint Maarten and Saint Barth’s, and is committed to continuing her research and vetting process to connect busy crew with the best local services. 
Having relied on the Superyacht Services Guide throughout her own career, she’s proud to now contribute to the trusted publication she once depended on.

When not immersed in the world of yachting, Lucy enjoys hiking the island’s scenic trails with her partner and spending time on creative arts and crafts projects with friends.
