Overview
High speed ferry service from Antigua to Barbuda
A choice of three high speed vessels travel from Antigua to Barbuda, including a wave-piercing Catamaran that takes just 90 minutes (in practically all weather conditions!).
The ferries carry cargo as well as passengers, with ferry services running daily (day tours, every day except Sunday): morning departures from St. Johns, Antigua at 0700 hrs (leaving from the bottom of High St, in St John's Harbour) and return departures from Barbuda at 1630 hrs.
There are two departures on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (0700 hrs and 1430 hrs) from St. John’s. On Sundays, the ferry leaves St. John’s at 1430 hrs only and returns from Barbuda at 1630 hrs. The on-board bar serves beer, soft drinks and bottled water.
Barbuda Express also offers day tours / packages that come highly recommended. This includes: ferry, taxi / island tour - including bird sanctuary by boat, Caves at Two Foot Bay or Princess Diana beach - and lunch served in a shady beachside location (with lobster often on the menu).
If you have yet to visit Antigua’s sister island Barbuda, it’s a must!
